Sustainability

Responsibility is part of the core of Camilla Safety

Camilla Safety Oy is a Finnish safety expert company that offers training in first aid, fire safety, and threat situations. Our operations are based on strong expertise and practical training aimed at improving people's readiness to act in emergency situations and promoting a culture of safety in society.

Our offices are located in Kaarina and Pori. Trainings are organized in our own premises, at our clients' locations, as well as in digital environments.

We are a 100% Finnish company committed to supporting domestic work, as evidenced by the Key Flag symbol, among other things. Our company's strategy includes key sustainability goals, such as minimizing environmental impact and considering social responsibility. In practice, this is reflected in digital and flexible learning solutions that reduce the need for travel for both trainers and participants, thereby reducing the carbon footprint.

Sustainability is evident in our everyday operations

For a long time, Camilla Safety has been committed to sustainability, and we have also published our company's sustainability report. Sustainability has always been at the core of our business - concrete actions and everyday choices. However, in recent years, there has also been a growing desire to deepen understanding and expertise, as well as to better showcase what we have done and are doing for sustainability.

We aim to be a pioneer and trendsetter in our industry, and to our knowledge, we are the first company in the safety training sector to have created and published a VSME sustainability report. Through our example, we want to challenge all companies to examine their own responsibility impact regardless of whether the company is subject to reporting obligations or not.

Responsibility for us is not just about writing a report; it's a guideline that directs our actions in the right direction. Responsibility is reflected in our daily life at a concrete level.

We prefer public transportation for commuting, the company car runs on electricity, and we reuse almost all of the packaging material that comes to us. We offer our employees fair and flexible working conditions, and the work is done in an atmosphere of trust.

Our operations are guided by a strong professional ethic and a genuine desire to provide the best possible solution for the customer. We believe that trust is earned through transparency, honesty, and consistent action.

The guarantors of our sustainability work are the company's owners, who are personally involved in its implementation at the everyday level.

VSME Sustainability Report

VSME (The Voluntary Standard for non-listed Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises) is a sustainability reporting standard created on the initiative of the European Commission for the voluntary sustainability reporting of SMEs. The structure of the report follows the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and is compatible with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

We chose the VSME standard as the framework for our sustainability report because it provides a clear and comparable structure and content for the report, and thus it best serves our clients who are now or will be in the future under the EU's CSRD sustainability reporting requirements.
