VESO First Aid Course 3-6 h
Our VESO First Aid Course is designed for teachers and school staff as an interactive half or full VESO day first aid course (3h or 6h). The course is intended for the entire school staff, meaning a large group can attend the same course.
The course provides you with good skills to help correctly and quickly in a variety of situations: from wounds to life-threatening situations.
You can participate in the VESO course without prior first aid training, and it also serves as a refresher.
Course Content
- Emergency transfer of a pupil or colleague
- exercises on the floor
- Examining an unconscious pupil or colleague and securing their breathing
- VirtuAid® VR simulation
- exercises on the floor
- Preventing loss of heat while waiting for an ambulance
- exercises on the floor
- CPR and the use of a defibrillator/AED
- physical exercises with an analysing resuscitation simulator
- exercises with a real defibrillator's training device
- Stopping bleeding with a pressure dressing
- exercises while sitting
- Recognizing the symptoms of circulatory shock caused by bleeding or electric shock and providing immediate first aid
- card game at the table
- Choking
- exercises with a choking simulation vest
- Anaphylactic shock
- exercises with an adrenaline auto-injector training device
- How to act in a traffic accident
- VirtuAid® VR simulation
- Using first aid supplies in various situations (e.g., burns, wounds, low blood sugar...)

- Joint injuries (new instructions)

- Attacks of illness (applies to 6h VESO First Aid Course)
Course Formats
On-site courses can be held in the company's own premises or at Camilla Safety's premises. On-site courses often include a lot of practical exercises.
A webinar is a course that takes place over the internet, and participants attend from their own computer or mobile device.
An online course is completed independently online and can be completed regardless of time and place. The course is pedagogically designed and includes a variety of practises.

Do you need a course for a larger group or an online course for several people?
Half VESO day (3h)
We will start in the school auditorium or lunch hall, where the theme is an inspiring and game-like introduction to the day. From there, we will move in groups of three to a guided training that consists of different cases, where everyone will have the opportunity to learn new things and practice in an active way together with colleagues.
A full VESO day (6h)
We begin in the school auditorium or lunch hall, where the theme is an inspiring and game-like introduction to the day. After that, we teach how to recognize and respond to attacks of illnesses using videos. Following the emergency first aid topics, we move on to a guided training in groups of three, where everyone gets to learn something new and practice in a functional way together with colleagues.
Both VESO First Aid Courses can also be organized as an engaging webinar, allowing everyone to participate from home or school.
The VESO First Aid Courses can be arranged in English on-site and as a webinar. The online course is available in Finnish and Swedish.
